Bookinephesus.com (Daria Tours) Booking Terms and Conditions

The following terms and conditions cover the booking of any tour or service through Bookinephesus.com (Daria Tours) and outlines the terms and conditions upon which you will be making a booking with Bookinephesus.com (Daria Tours). These terms and conditions are in place to outline the extent of our services and our responsibilities as well as safeguard our customers’ interests.
By making a booking with Bookinephesus.com (Daria Tours) you are agreeing to these terms and conditions and accepting them on behalf of all persons within your booking group. As the principal client making the booking you are obliged to: (1) Bring these terms and conditions to all others in the party; (2) Establish their needs in relation to travel insurance. (3) Become principally liable to Bookinephesus.com (Daria Tours) for the cost of the holiday.

1. Payment

1.1 In order to confirm a place on a tour, trip or hotel booking you are required to pay a deposit of 25% of the total booking amount. You are free to pay the full amount of the tour at time of booking which will be subject to the cancellation policy as outlined below under ‘Cancellation’ in the event that you choose to cancel your booking prior to departure/commencement. Following the payment of a deposit the date upon which full payment is required will vary depending on the nature of the booking and the size of the booking group. Your Bookinephesus.com (Daria Tours) representative will advise you of the due date for full payment at time of confirmation of your deposit.

1.2 All prices are quoted in USD, GBP or EURO for convenience of the customer as this reflects the largest demographic of our customers. Bookinephesus.com (Daria Tours) is based in Turkey and all credit card transactions will be charged in the equivalent local currency (TL: Turkish Lira) based on the exchange rate of the day the booking is received. Bookinephesus.com (Daria Tours) is the trading name of ‘Seber Turizm Tic. Ltd. Şti’ which is what will appear on your credit card statement. 1.3 Confirmation of booking will not be made until payment has been received. Any customers making payment by Bank Transfer or by Cheque may need to wait up to 14 days for confirmation to be made. Although you will receive confirmation of booking receipt usually within 48 hours.

2. Cancellation

2.1 All cancellation requests by the customer must be made in writing to Bookinephesus.com (Daria Tours) and cancellations will be subject to a cancellation fee depending on when it is received by Bookinephesus.com (Daria Tours). In the event that a customer cancels their booking Bookinephesus.com (Daria Tours) will retain the following percentage of the booking which are best estimates of likely losses to Bookinephesus.com (Daria Tours) as a result of your cancellation:
Deposit only paid
Cancellation made more than 7 days before the tour start date = All of the deposit returned
Cancellation made within 7 days before the tour start date = Deposit Retained
If for any reason the cruise ship does not arrive at the port on the specified day we consider this to be outside of both parties control and we will therefore return all money paid.

If for any reason YOU decide not to join the tour (‘turn up for the tour’) then we will charge the original credit card with the balance for the tour.

Full payment paid
Cancellation made more than 7 days before the tour start date = Full payment returned
Cancellation made within 7 days before the tour start date = 25% retained and 75% returned
If for any reason the cruise ship does not arrive at the port on the specified day we consider this to be outside of both parties control and we will therefore return all money paid.

If for any reason YOU decide not to join the tour (‘turn up for the tour’) then we will retain 100% of the tour price.
2.2 No refunds for any unused parts of the holiday/tours – so if you decide to cut short your vacation or don’t stay in the hotel, or don’t do a particular tour then we will not refund you for the unused parts.

2.3 If after making your booking and receiving confirmation from us, you wish to make any changes to your booking such as hotels or you wish to change to another of our tours, we will do our best to make the changes you require but cannot guarantee your needs can be met. Any changes to booking may be subject to a £25 administration fee and should be made in writing.

2.4 In certain circumstances we may have to cancel your holiday/booking, if this should happen we would return to you all the money you have paid us. We will not cancel your holiday unless: Your holiday is influenced by events beyond our control such as war or threat of war, riots, strikes, epidemics, bad weather, technical problems to transport, closure of ports, terrorists activities or government action or similar events beyond our control.

2.5 After departure if the running of the tour/booking is hindered by events beyond our control i.e. Strikes, port closures, breakdowns of public transport etc. We will not be held liable for compensation, payments or refunds. If for reasons beyond our control we have to change your hotel we will do all within our power to substitute the booked hotel with another of the same standard.

2.6 Bookinephesus.com (Daria Tours) reserves the unconditional right to refuse a booking or terminate a passengers holiday in the event of unreasonable conduct.

2.7 If a member of a booking party is prevented from travelling it might be possible to transfer the booking to another suitable person. The person making the original booking needs to provide written notice. Changes cannot be guaranteed and an administration fee of £50 will be charged plus any additional costs that are imposed on Bookinephesus.com (Daria Tours).

3. Insurance & Health

3.1 We strongly suggest you take out comprehensive travel insurance before your departure. Bookinephesus.com (Daria Tours) are not responsible for providing customers with individual travel insurance.

3.2 Any passenger suffering from illness or disability or undergoing treatment for any physical or medical condition must declare the true nature of such condition at the time of booking and make arrangements for the provision of any medication or other treatment required during the tour. Failure to make such disclosure will constitute a breach of these terms and conditions and may result in such persons being excluded from the tour in which case all monies paid will be forfeited and Bookinephesus.com (Daria Tours) will not be liable to pay any compensation whatsoever. If the chosen tour includes a cruise or excursion or transfer by boat of any sort the customer must make it known at the time of booking if he/she is unable to swim. This will not prevent the customer from participating in the tour but will enable Bookinephesus.com (Daria Tours) to take additional precautions for the customers safety at such times as may be appropriate.

4. Passports & Visas

Note: The cruise ship passengers who arrive by sea and who are on a “daily excursion” and who do not stay overnight in Turkey do not need a visa for the day. So you will get a landing card from your cruise ship and use that card while you are entering Turkey.

4.1 You are responsible for ensuring that you have all the necessary travel documents and that they are valid and effective. You will need a current passport that is valid for at least 6 months and the necessary visa documentation. Check with your local embassy or travel agent to get more info on Visas etc.

5. Entrance Fees

5.1 Unless stated entrance fees are not included in the tour price.

6. Taxes, Service Charges

6.1 Unless otherwise stated taxes and service charges are included in the tour price.

7. Tipping

7.1 Tipping is part of the Travel scene. If you are satisfied with the service provided you might wish to show your appreciation by tipping the tour leader and driver at your discretion.

8. Hotel Accommodation

8.1 All our hotels are based on 2 people sharing a room. Triple rooms are usually available, sometimes however it may not be possible to provide triple rooms due to the hotel availability. For Single Travellers a single supplement will need to be paid.

9. Local Laws

9.1 All participants in tours operated by Bookinephesus.com (Daria Tours) are expected to obey the laws and regulations of Turkey and any failure to do so will relieve Bookinephesus.com (Daria Tours) of all obligations that it may otherwise have under this agreement.

10. Complaints

10.1 If the customer has a complaint about any of the tour arrangements, the customer must bring it to the attention of the tour leader or other representative of Bookinephesus.com (Daria Tours) at the time so that they may use their reasonable endeavours to rectify the situation. Failure to complain at the time will affect the customers ability to claim compensation. Should the problem remain unsolved a complaint must be made in writing to Bookinephesus.com (Daria Tours) within 28 days of the completion of the tour.

11. Customers Special Requests

11.1 If a customer has any special requests then they should inform Bookinephesus.com (Daria Tours) at the time of booking. Bookinephesus.com (Daria Tours) and its suppliers will try to meet such requests but, as these do not form part of this agreement and cannot guarantee that they can be met.

12. General Terms and Conditions

12.1 You are responsible for ensuring that you are at the correct departure point at the correct time. We cannot be held liable for any loss or expense incurred if you are not at the departure point at the correct time.

12.2 We will carry out the itinerary as printed, unless for reasons beyond our control it becomes necessary to reschedule or alter part of the itinerary. We reserve the right to do this if necessary. We also reserve the right to alter or reschedule the itinerary if the management deems it necessary to do so as to make the operation of the tour run more smoothly due to events that may have occurred which could hinder the smooth running of the tour.

12.3 Published running times of services are estimated. Services (ferries, buses, trains etc) are sometimes delayed due to industrial action, breakdowns, bad weather etc. We will not be held liable or accept responsibility for delays caused by any form or breakdown that occurs, unless it is due to negligence by Bookinephesus.com (Daria Tours).

12.4 Customers booking and wish to join a group or passengers on an earlier booking must inform us at time of booking with all necessary information. We will do all we can to accommodate your needs but cannot guarantee that you will be on the same bus or hotels if these have already been allocated.

12.5 If you wish to add further people to your group at short notice then please let Bookinephesus.com (Daria Tours) know no later than 3 days before the tour commences and we will do all we can do to accommodate your needs. As our pricing structure is based on the number of people attending (i.e sliding scale with more passengers) then we can adjust the payment amount due or request additional payment based on the final number of passengers on the tour.
